We are very happy to announce that Emulsion VI will be taking place in Shrewsbury in the form of a residency… there will be two workshops on March 18th and April 22nd (for local audiences) and a festival on 15th-16th June. More information will be announced shortly…
Back in December Emulsion was ecstatic to be there for Cevanne’s win at the BASCA British Composer Awards! Cevanne’s submission was her piece for the Emulsion Sinfonietta, ‘Muted Lines’, which was commissioned by Trish Clowes (to also feature on her album My Iris).

Huge congratulations to Joe Cutler who won a BASCA British Composer Award last night in the ‘Contemporary Jazz Composition’ category. His piece Karembeu’s Guide to the Complete Defensive Midfielder was commissioned by Cheltenham Music Festival for the Emulsion Sinfonietta to premiere in 2015. The winning work will be performed again at Emulsion V on January 27th 2017 at the mac birmingham.

On Thursday 18th February Emulsion’s own Trish Clowes and Tom Harrison will be speaking at Output Belfast – Northern Ireland’s “largest ever one day music conference”. The conference is at the MAC in Belfast and runs from 10am-5pm, with Trish and Tom speaking to David Lyttle (of Lyte Records) from 1.30pm-2.30pm (just down the road at the Oh Yeah Music Centre).
